Vermont does not have a registration deadline.

Absentee Ballot Deadlines

Request: August 10, 2026 (4PM)

Return: August 11, 2026 (7PM)

Early Voting

June 27, 2026 – August 11, 2026 (5PM)

*Vermont offers same-day registration, but recommends voters register online by at least the Friday before the election to allow time for the application to be processed.
Vermont conducts elections by mail. All active registered voters will automatically receive a mail-in ballot.

General Election - November 3, 2026
